Defense of the nation also means defense of the nation's assets. In support of the United States Air Force, the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) Security team provides management and safeguarding requirements for the protection of national classified information, materials, and property. Our security needs cover a broad spectrum including protection of information, industrial assets, personnel, physical resources, communications, and operations.

The Security Career Field (SECCF) centrally manages over 1,590 positions and provides training opportunities for over 2,400 employees across all United States Air Force installations. Positions in SECCF include Security Specialists, Security Assistants, Police Officers, and Guards.
