Tinker Air Force Base is located in Central Oklahoma. The base houses the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, the largest of three depot repair centers in the Air Force Materiel Command.

A SONIC BOOM IS CAUSED BY AN OBJECT MOVING FASTER THAN SOUND - ABOUT 750 MPH AT SEA LEVEL.

The strongest sonic boom ever recorded was 144 pounds per square foot produced by a F-4 flying just above the speed of sound at an altitude of 100 feet operated by Air Force Space Command.
